We are delighted to invite you to History, Country, and Community: A Celebration of Ann McGrath — a free public symposium honouring the scholarship of Professor Ann McGrath, a foundational figure in Australian history whose work on First Nations histories, cross-cultural encounters, and the national story has shaped the discipline for decades.
The day brings together historians, community voices, and colleagues whose work has intersected with Ann's over a long and distinguished career. Sessions will span oral and community history, public history, and the reframing of Australia's national narrative, with an in-conversation address and a closing response from Prof McGrath herself.
